Story: Our bags reflect our personalities, vibrant and
sophisticated with an edge. We are in the process of completing our Spring
collection. Clients can continue to look forward to new colorful bags and
exciting new design patterns. We use a large array of fabrics. Many of our bags
in our current collection are made with Asian brocade. We love to use bridal
satin for our lining because of the durability and crispness of the fabric.
Swanky evolved in September of 2007 after discovering our mutual love for
handbags. It was then that we toyed around with a few patterns, and decided on
the classic envelope clutch for its simplicity and sleek lines. After the
painstaking task of narrowing our fabrics down we set off for the task of
designing the first Swanky. We discovered a way to step out in style. Whether
you’re having a ladies night out or a lavish soiree, a Swanky completes the
ensemble. MJ’s craving for something different was the incentive for the
creation of Swanky. These adorable, one-of-a-kind envelope style clutches
encourage women to be sophisticated and trendy at the same time.
We were inspired by a desire to create clutches in a wide-variety of colors to
fit the needs of the “modern woman.” The women of today are professional, sexy,
elegant and youthful. “Swanky” gels with the opulent world of fashion, exudes
individuality and luxury with vibrant colors at an affordable rate. A Swanky
clutch can “make” an entire outfit interesting. It can give you an edge, or
soften a look. Many people make the mistake of over accessorizing or trying to
match their entire wardrobe. Our clutches have just that splash of vibrancy that
can make a mundane outfit fit for a night on the town. Infused with color, our
bags can be coupled with jeans or an evening dress.
Since we create our bags by hand there is a lot of room for error. There have
been times that we have had some mishaps with construction, and not discovered
the error until near completion. Once we discover an error, we have to unstitch
the entire bag, and start the process over. It is worth hearing the positive
comments of clients who receive there first Swanky bag. Often people assume they
can’t afford our bags because of the craftsmanship and the expensive look of our
clutches. It delights us when we can tell potential clients that our bags are
affordable for everyone, yet gives the look and feel that you have spent a
fortune.
