I have been truly moved by the beauty in the ancient Chinese Heritage in museums and Chinese folk art in the real life (Cutting Papers, Shadow figures in the local drama performance etc.). I hope that one day I could infuse all Chinese Ancient Beauty into my handbag design. I am still in the early stage of my design. Making samples/Building website is in progress. My target is to launch my line fully in 2010.

My materials consist of Lamb skin and kids skin, Cotton Cloth and Silk. These are the ones that I feel comfortable with. My inspiration: is that I see no handbags with Chinese aesthetic in the market. I want to infuse the beauty I see & feel in Chinese culture such as bronze, calligraphy, ancient painting, Chinese Folk Art such as Cutting Paper, Shadow figure etc., into my handbag design.  With a a sewing machine I made my first handbag, which gave me much more joy than the engineering work that I have been doing all my life so far. From there I came up with the idea of designing my own handbag line to give my bag an accent of Chinese aesthetic.

Designing my own handbags gives me great sense of fulfillment and doing this itself makes me feel that every day is beautiful. This shall be my real career.
