I had a successful career as a sportswear designer, working for Sergio Tacchini, Puma and Umbro. I'm launching my debut collection of women's bags available in July/August this year. Bagslag is about attitude, fun and most of all creativity - acknowledging women's obsession with bags! I mainly focus on using leathers and simple, great quality zips and trims. I'm inspired by modern forms and unconventional ideals, targeting women who want something different. I use unorthodox construction methods to create my unique look. I love to challenge the way bags are made and used, it's all about having fun.

My line started by experimenting with leather and metal zips. I loved the sexy combination of materials and then sought out a way of applying innovative pattern cutting to create a new aesthetic. I think the market is missing a real maverick design label which challenges the norm. 5. On my debut collection you can totally unzip the bags the whole length of the zip, my bags have all got a quirky twist.

I made my 2nd prototype and went out clubbing with a friend to wearer test it. While dancing my bag burst open and my things went all over the floor and I lost my favorite lipstick! I realized I had to redesign it straight away correcting a major flaw!  As, it's my debut collection I'm really proud to be showing at London trade show Margin on 2nd & 3rd August 2009. This is a fanastic show and a great platform to showcase new designers and I'm really proud to be exhibiting there. Come and check me out!
