Showroom New York seeks local talent!
Showroom New York is holding an open call for contemporary ready-to-wear and accessory designers on January 23rd from 10 am to 4pm. Designers must produce their collections in New York. Collections will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals including specialty retailers. Designers may submit their collections on Friday, January 23, 2009, between the hours of 10 am and 4pm at 202 W. 40th Street, 9th Floor NYC, NY 10018. Please bring along pricing, a business plan and any pertinent press information. Submission into the showroom includes one full year of representation amongst other networking opportunities.
In addition to sales representation for the upcoming Fall ’09 season; Showroom New York offers business and marketing support as well as sourcing referrals for local production.
Showroom New York is part of the Garment Industry Development Corporation (GIDC), a non profit established in 1984 to promote and sustain New York City apparel manufacturing. Funded by a grant from the State of New York; Showroom New York is part of this exciting mission to maintain New York’s position as the Fashion Capital of the world!
