At the age of 25, Jack Germain launched her namesake handbag collection. Germain envisioned a line that embodied her own signature mix of tough downtown chic with feminine detailing. Repetitive hardware and embossed studded leather are made classic with buttery soft Italian leather and timeless shapes. Inspired and influenced by runway trends, each handbag is relevant and trend forward, but built to last and not expire over time. Not one to change her bag everyday, she wanted each bag to transition seamlessly from ripped jeans to a cocktail dress.

Not one to change her bag everyday, she wanted each bag to transition seamlessly from ripped jeans to a cocktail dress. When the brand first launched, each bag was hand sewn in her LES apartment and that's when the line quickly gained acclaim with cool NY girls, and even caught the eye of the New York Times.
A graduate of New York's Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Accessories Design, Jack honed her craft interning for Cynthia Rowley, Prada, and Emanuel Ungaro all before the age of 20. Jack Germain bags have been featured in Elle, The New York Times, In Style, Blackbook and People Style Watch. She lives and designs in New York City, where all of her bags are made.
"We always use the runway as a main source of inspiration. Gorgeous details on ready-to-wear as well as color and trend forecasting. The only thing we don't take inspiration from is other handbags. The point of fashion is to do something different, not to do what everyone else is doing.
"Unlike any other accessory we put on, handbags have the ability to be with us everyday. I'm never going to design a bag that someone stops wearing because the quality didn't hold up or the trend became extinct. I want to wear my pieces for life and I want them to wear with me, not ahead of me."
Now that we're in our third year, we're really starting to come into our own. We are especially excited about our next season as we are starting to experiment with color and shine. Color is always big for spring, but we're putting our Jack Germain twist on it so it will definitely have that little bit of noise you've been looking for.
Our line continues to grow and expand and we're even beginning a collection of mens wallets in collaboration with a very talented architect.
