MOFE designs contemporary, chic leather handbags with a purpose. Inspired by what designer Linda Park calls "today's modern feminism," MOFE embodies the empowerment of women in every aspect of its brand. Our logo parallels the infinity symbol, embodying the notion of no boundaries or limitations, and it sits on our bags to be a reminder that women have come a long way to be where they are today and can certainly achieve anything they set their minds to.

Attorney turned designer, Linda Park, was influenced by her own story in creating MOFE and designing its bags. She saw a void in the market for fashionable yet practical "work" bags and decided to evolve her love of handbags into designs suitable for work yet fashionable for play. But she didn't stop there... Linda fell in love with the design process and expanded her line to appeal to a variety of women. She envisions her bags to represent something of greater significance--a reminder to women that we, as a whole, have come a long way, and that we, as individuals, can achieve our own perceptions of success. Her own experience with the challenges in transitioning careers inspired this thought, and it has been the motivating force that drives her to achieve her own perception of success--following her dreams to enable her to leave a positive mark on this world.

Linda asks: "What's your perception of success?"

Linda Park learned the craft of designing and creating handbags from the samplemakers who she now works very closely with in producing her collections. Linda is involved in every step of the process, from sourcing leather all the way to designing custom hardware for her pieces, which adds a bit of special detail to every one of her bags.

The concept for MOFE came twofold. I love fashion and the variety of elements it evokes--expression, style, beauty, and individuality. I get this internal buzz seeing designs that excite or intrigue me, but I also appreciate being moved by compelling stories. The story that moved me when starting this business was an article about how far women have come to be where they are today--be it socially, politically, or economically. The author of the article observed how this evolution unveiled the potential of women today in a different kind of way, referring to it as "today's modern feminism," MOFE's namesake. I came to appreciate this incredible journey and wanted to remind women of it, so they too can be empowered by it.

Our handbags are all stitched by hand we select quality leathers that ages well with use. It's important that our handbags be our customers' fashionable, yet timeless, go-to bag that lasts her a very long time. We love to juxtapose our leather materials, sometimes using distressed leather and smooth suede, to create styles that are chic with a slight edge. In many of our styles we use custom hardware which adds a very unique look to our bags. We strive to make our handbags lightweight and incredibly functional (all of our styles feature multiple pockets, are both comfortable and convenient to wear, and can be worn in multiple ways -- for instance, as a short or long cross-body or a clutch).

There's no disputing that fashion labels spend loads of money on branding, whether it be by marketing images that evoke a fantasy lifestyle or paying top models to endorse their products. MOFE consciously decided to be different by cutting through fashion's exterior facade and appealing to the deeper side of women. Everything--from our infinity-esque logo, product names, positive messages on social media, all the way to donating a portion of sales to help young girls get an education--was carefully contemplated and crafted to be a building block to MOFE's "different-kind-of" brand mantra. A young brand to the market, MOFE is still evolving and discovering new ways to convey its message while designing stylish handbags for women. So far, the brand that dares to be different has been very well received.
