Kristina George is a contemporary, European-made handbag brand with the vision to create timeless, luxurious and bold looks intended to complement the modern woman and her associated lifestyle.

Krasimira Georgieva and Kamola Taflan came from Eastern European roots, and independently came to America for university. Sharing cultural similarities and the realities they were both expatriates, Krasimira and Kamola developed a strong bond and have since been the best of friends. Following university, both Krasimira and Kamola built successful careers in finance. Their successes in the financial sector, and subsequent business understanding have allowed them a unique advantage in following their passion and launching Kristina George. The duo’s interest in intricate architectural designs combined with their focus on symmetry fueled the launch of the first Kristina George collection.

At the essence of the Kristina George core collection is a chic, glamorous and sophisticated attitude all the while maintaining a practical sensibility.

Krasimira and Kamola had an awakening moment three years ago – they have had successful careers and opportunity to grow further but there was a missing part. Fashion has always been their true passion so the two best friends decided to turn this life long interest into a new career.

Krasimira Georgieva and Kamola Taflan came from Eastern European roots, and independently came to America for university. The duo’s interest in intricate architectural designs combined with their focus on symmetry fueled the launch of the first Kristina George collection.

The two designers had an overarching theme inspired by both modern architecture and art deco. The straight lines and symmetry are the leading elements in their debut collection. The designers' inspiration comes also from their international background and travels - they traveled and lived in different countries and were mesmerized by the intricate architectures around the world.

The designers are working with a family-owned factory in Istanbul that produces for well-known high-end international brands. They employee certified artisans who work under excellent conditions and their sense of quality matches Kristina George’s vision. The factory has been producing high-end luxury leather handbags and accessories for 30 years. Their know-how has added great value to their brand. Kamola and Krasimira spent significant amount of time researching tanneries that not only produced high quality leathers but also followed an eco-friendly process. They chose to work with an established tannery in Istanbul that meets EU's strict environment quality standards. They visited the tannery, observed the entire process and felt very confident in their expertise and work ethic. The crystals featuring two of the styles are handmade by an award-winning European artist who creates glass sculptures and crystal jewelry. The crystals are custom designed with utmost precision and detail for their handbags. It takes 2 hours to make one single crystal. They are multilayered, using crystal, glass and crystal mirror to create an optical effect.

The brand is focused on expanding their network of boutiques in order to reach more customers in different cities in the US. In addition, they have started working on new designs and planning on adding more colorways to some of the existing models. During Kristina George's launch year the designers have gathered invaluable feedback from customers, buyers and influencers, which is helping them tremendously with the evolution of the brand.
