With retail spending just slightly up in January, it seems that designers are attempting keep a positive attitude with making sure there are bright pieces in their collections. So-called 'bridge lines' are now being carried with more solid distribution for the consumer to still feel like they are buying as close to the real thing as possible. However, in most cases, the under $1000 purchase (as crazy as it is to say) is a better investment than its overpriced counterpart.
