The 2009 Independent Handbag Designer Awards Now With Shoes are almost upon us.  The 35 finalists have been named and we extraordinarily pleased with the results.  This year in a time of woes and lows, we received over 600 applicants proving that creativity cannot be stopped.  As we have always said that you find the best work from those who have not yet been discovered and this year's IHDA will give another group of unique designers the chance to be recognized in their respected category.  We are most excited about the addition of our Best Shoe in Overall Style and Design where we received mind-blowing work from designers from all over the world.

This year we have expanded our Audience Fan Favorite Category making the votes visible for all to see so our Finalists can really show how talented and amazing they really are.  (It doesn't hurt that we are happy to let the world know about them either...) We have received over 3000 votes so far!

Please make sure you get your vote in and purchase tickets for the 2009 IHDA taking place at the New York Historical Society on June 17th and watch history be made at the only awards show in the world that truly honors the work of independent handbag and now shoe designers.
